Course Information

    The 3 hour Sports Injury Course is designed as a basic introduction to the subject, providing participants with an understanding of:

    • the general duties and responsibilities of a sports first aider
    • the common sports injuries
    • the basic knowledge, skills and attitude necessary to recognise and differentiate major from minor injury
    • the ability to administer basic first aid to a casualty engaged in sports activity.

     It is an attendance course for anyone providing support of sports activities or with an interest in injury assessment and treatment in any environment.

    Course Pre-requisites

    Participants must be a minimum of 16 years old on the date of the start of the course.

    It is a strong recommendation that the participants have a recognised and ‘in date’ Emergency Aid qualification including cardio-pulmonary resuscitation, heart attack, asthma, choking and head injury components.

    Who is it for?

    The SI course is for individuals, specifically team managers, coaches, teachers, parents, volunteers and others, who (in the absence of professional first aiders) have the responsibility for the provision of pitchside/on-field first aid when supporting sports activities.

    Bookings: Users are required to give 48 hours’ notice prior to the event for cancellation otherwise full payment will be charged.

    Cancellation By Energize:

    Energize should endeavor to give users the same notice periods as above, however there may be times when circumstances are beyond Energizes control, e.g bad weather. In all cases a full refund should be offered, or payments already received transferred to future bookings.
