This 2 day course (9am-4pm both days) is aimed at learners who have limited knowledge and experience of School Swimming and will be delivered using a combination of theory and practical work.

Learners who complete the Teacher of School Swimming course will be able to deliver school swimming, without direct supervision from a more qualified teacher*, and understand the principles of the National Curriculum, within a Primary School environment. (It is advisable for a Level 2 swimming teacher to also be present when delivering School Swimming).

*A more qualified teacher is a Level 2 swimming teacher or a qualified school teacher with the Fundamentals and Aquatic Skills/Teacher of School Swimming training.

During the afternoon of the second day attendees will have a practical assessment. Attendees are advised to wear comfortable clothing and footwear for teaching pool side on this day.

Tea and Coffee will be provided on both days (however you will be required to bring your own lunch)
