Kelda is brim-full with enthusiasm for the benefits of sport.  Following a stable yard accident which left her with leg injuries that ruined her dreams of representing GB at the Olympics in riding.

Kelda began a new career in 2012, using adventurous activities as a tool to rehabilitation, after discovering how these activities had improved her own mental and physical recovery. She now runs a charity called Climbing Out, that operates residential outdoor activity programmes for young people facing life changing injuries and illnesses.

After attending a talent ID day with paracanoe, Kelda found a sport that worked for her and was exactly what she was looking for.

In March 2019, Kelda completed the Talisker Whiskey Atlantic Challenge and become the first solo adaptive person to row the Atlantic!
