Our Inclusion pledge is to ensure our organisation, and how we approach and undertake our work, includes diversity of thought, and that inclusion is embedded into our culture.

We try to support as many local, regional and campaigns as possible - Pride Month is one of these.

Here is some information about local events and services available for everyone.

July is Disability Pride Month
Disability Pride Month
Disability Pride is about spreading awareness about disabilities and celebrating the diversity of the disabled community. One in five people in the UK live with a disability. And over one billion people have disabilities worldwide, representing the most significant global minority and a wide range of generations, races, genders, sexual orientations, religions, and socio-economic backgrounds.

Disability Pride Month is observed as both a celebration and a call to action. It's a time to celebrate the unique identities and experiences of people with disabilities, fostering a sense of pride and empowerment within the community. The first Disability Pride Parade in the UK was held in Belfast in 2014 and serves as an opportunity to challenge stigma, raise awareness about the issues facing people with disabilities, and advocate for greater accessibility and inclusion in all aspects of society.

Scope is hosting an online Disability Pride online event on Monday 29th July.
