Safeguarding Adults Week - free workshops

We have brought together resources to support physical activity clubs', groups' and organisations' safeguarding practice. 

A number of free workshops are available during the week to help enable more organisations and individuals to feel confident in recognising signs of abuse and neglect, and the recording and reporting of safeguarding concerns.

All day drop in event at Telford Town Centre (9am – 5pm)

Safeguarding experts on hand to answer questions and raise awareness around domestic abuse, hoarding, self-neglect along with many other concerns.

Sport England's Club Matters also has safeguarding and welfare guidance for physical activity providers.

A video from the Ann Craft Trust details what safeguarding adults means and provides top tips on how your organisation can ensure people’s safety. The guidance can help you to:

• Prioritise adult safeguarding.

• Understand the types of abuse adults may face.

• Identify who’s responsible for helping.
