The week will be broken down into two sections: Active Challenges Emotional Wellbeing Those schools which sign up to the Wellbeing Week will receive a digital resource pack in the week commending Monday 17th May. This pack will include 3 Active Challenges (to be completed at any time during the week) these will include demonstration videos (from our Idsall and Thomas Adams sixth formers), challenge guides and scorecards. All challenges can be completed by individual classes with each pupil’s score recorded on the scorecards provided. These can then be emailed in to [email protected]. Winners of the Active Challenges will be announced across our @EnergizeSTW social media as well as emailed to all schools. The pack will also include Emotional Wellbeing resources that can be used across the week with lots of arts and crafts, videos and practical lessons that can be shared throughout the school. Our Sporting Champions are excited to be part of the Wellbeing Week, and schools that sign up will receive 5 Sporting Champion videos from ex Paralympians and Guinness World Record Holders! The videos will focus on positivity, the benefits of being active and the struggles the athletes have overcome during their career. These could be shown to pupils each morning to get them prepared for the day ahead or before participating in any of the activities. This week can hopefully provide an opportunity for Young Leaders to get involved. For example, pupils recording class results, tallying up total scores or even setting up stations for each other. Templates for Young Leaders will be sent in the resource pack. The school that emails in the highest number of Young Leaders across the week will have the chance to win sport equipment vouchers. Prizes to be won The winning class in the County for each active challenge will receive a School Games medal per child along with a School Games T-shirt. A trophy will also be given to each school that wins one of the challenges. Judges Choice awards will be awarded to schools that send in photos/videos of how pupils have joined in during the week. These will need to be shared with @EnergizeSTW social media or emailed to [email protected] and could include creative and inspirational poems/write ups, or posters/leaflets from pupils about the importance of keeping healthy and what activities they enjoy. Every school that signs up will receive E-certificates for participation along with the six School Games Values certificates which can be printed and handed out to pupils across the week. Schools will be contacted as soon as the dates are confirmed with information on how to sign up to the Wellbeing Week.
