Department for Education has published guidance about community activities, holiday and after-school clubs as well as other out-of-school provision for children over the age of 5. The guidance informs providers of the protective measures that need to be in place to ensure that such settings can open as safely as possible, and the practical steps they can take to minimise the risk to children, staff and parents who attend their settings by reducing the risk of infection and transmission of the virus.

The Ann Craft Trust have also introduced a Safeguarding Twitter Hour on Wednesdays from 12-1pm and they would like as many people as possible to participate – you can raise a question and get involved in discussion on the safeguarding issues that are important to you.

Mental Health Awareness for Sport and Physical Activity

Is now free to access until 31 August 2020 for the whole coaching community. Usually £18, the course, which on completion will give you 3 CIMSPA CPD points, is ideal for those involved in delivering coaching in a club, leisure centre or any other community sports & physical activity setting. Questions to Consider When Your Coaches Return to Coaching: Employers/Deployers

When your coaches return to coaching, do you have a plan in place to ensure that they are looked after and prepared to return? Whether you are a grassroots club, private coaching provider or a charity, you will need to be ready to support them to provide great coaching experiences in a safe environment.
